Description

Greetings, folks!

Posting up a new addition to my gallery: My Deathwatch Character. He's from the Ultramarines Chapter. This is in anticipation of Fantasy Flight's new Deathwatch Tabletop RPG game, due out in late August (estimated).

First off, not my best work to date. I forgot about the mold lines AGAIN, so there's something I will need to leave a note on my desk next time I do a model.

Secondly, The paint job isn't really that awesome. I got way too overzealous with the Badab Black Wash, and used it multiple multiple times. Its so dark, I think you're only supposed to use it once! Devlin Mud I used a bit more sparingly, but even then, you can tell I used too much (like on the pistol holster and the rope behind his back).

Thirdly, I didn't do that great of a job on the eyes and lens on his scope. *Sigh* Ah, well, for eight hours worth of work, he's not bad. Definitely tabletop quality, and at least he'll look suitably similar to how he'll be in the RPG when I finally get to play it.

dude, this is sweet!  i see you've used one of the older versions of the sternguard veterans.  my question is how did you get the left shoulder pad to be the inquisitor's "I"?  the sternguard vets i have come with the shoulder pads already "built-in" and they're metal... i made 8 deathwatch marines, two to complete the squad and i want to do one like this!
